This was fun today, and by fun, I mean total suckballs. I absolutely hate dealing with customer service. That said, I try to always remain civil, and when the peons can't help me, it's all about the long debate with the supervisor.

I once spent 30+ minutes on the phone with an agent from T-mobile... then asked to speak to the supervisor-- to COMPLIMENT the guy for being so patient with all my questions and BS. The supervisor was almost floored. She said they don't normally get compliments, so she was happy to hear it. Speaking as someone that's been on the other end of that line, I know how getting one compliment can make your week.

That being said- sorry you had to deal with idiots! Fuck 'em! Were they at least American?

Yeah, I've been (very briefly) on that side too. I pretty much never give the low-level people shit (unless they get snotty, then down must be thrown).

And they were, but the supervisor was just a douche and claimed he didn't have an employee id or anything to give out except the oh-so-unique first name of "Aaron."

I've complemented retail people before, but never had a call center experience that was any more than neutral :(
