I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but I feel like this is a little bit insensitive. Not that you aren't allowed to make jokes about someone dying, but he was a great man. It would just be nice to also see some sincere acknowledgement that the world lost someone who did a lot of good.
Hey Umm, if Rori had to make a sincere acknowledgement for every death of someone she's never met, she wouldn't have much time for comics.
People die. It's the one thing we all have in common. We're all headed down that path that trillions have taken before us. Let those close to him grieve, as they well should. But you can't force anyone to manufacture sadness for the passing of a man they didn't know personally. That's silly.
Also i'm curious. By "did a lot of good", do you mean 'was the CEO of a company that designed your favorite toys?' Or maybe you meant to say "I love Monsters, Inc."
That aside, i thought this comic was sweet. Her computer is noticeably upset. Looks like an acknowledgement to me.
Steve Jobs was a cool dude.
i miss Jim Henson. And i'm okay with the fact that other people don't miss him like i do.
Actually, you know what? Scratch everything above.
i think instead of whining to Rori about how she should make an acknowledgement, you yourself should have simply stated: "I am sad Steve Jobs died."
There. That is so succinct, gets to what you were really trying to say, and isn't irritating. Wouldn't that have been wonderful?
By the way, now that i've typed "acknowledgement" 3, no wait... 4 times in this comment, i've managed to convince myself that word doesn't exist.
