Mountaineers Are Always Lost

Everything turned out okay when the March Hare took us to see Aslan.

It happened that quickly! It was like The Secret Garden if The Secret Garden was just some street with no power and dilapidated houses (the street, not all of WV).

We were in West Virginia for only about half an hour, which included stopping for gas. Unfortunately, it was at night and we couldn't see how beautiful the landscape was (we did get to see it on the way back, though.) Husband used the bathroom at the gas station and said it was so white and bare, he expected to see an old version of himself reaching out to a giant rectangle. I'm not all that sure what he meant, but sometimes I just let him talk.

Edit: WV is having a major environmental crisis right now, my heart goes out to the people there:

So true
I have family in WV. This strip is so very true.

WV was also the first place I ever drove where the corners on the mountains were so sharp I was afraid of rear-ending my own car.
